Helllooooo (in my Mrs. Doubtfire voice)
Happy Monday! I’m sure you are feeling the Monday blues! Most people don’t like Mondays. To be honest sometimes I don’t like Mondays either. But I’m choosing to be happy about Monday instead of miserable that it’s here and that the weekend is over. I’m grateful for a fresh start, a new week, and a new chance to work towards my goals. I had an amazing weekend!
1) Saturday, I was able to serve as an assistant for a Wedding with Amy Rizzuto Photography. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I am so grateful for the opportunity. I had so much fun, learned so much, and I was just overwhelmed with excitement the entire time. I can’t wait to do it again! The couple was so amazing and I absolutely felt so grateful for being present on their day. It was truly filled with so much love. I’ve now become even more obsessed with Weddings and I have no doubt that I want to be a Wedding Photographer. Thanks so much Amy for allowing me to assist you on the wedding day!
2) I love desserts! Cupcakes, pie, cookies, brownies, cake, kit kat bars, twix, etc. I can’t eat them all of the time but if I could without getting diabetes or gaining a ton of weight, I would. J My husband and I stumbled upon the cutest bakery in January called Ivy Bakery. It was charming, cozy, and an overall comfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately this was the last weekend for this bakery being open at that location. So of course we had to celebrate it and make the trip out to SoHo. We had two slices of Buttermilk Pie, and a Chocolate Butter Gooie. Ummmm, UH-MAZING! One of the best sweets I’ve ever tasted, and I’m not exaggerating. Although this particular location is closing, it’s not the end. Owner Daniellan Louie is so talented and I have no doubt that nothing but good things are in store for the future of Ivy Bakery.
3) Besides being obsessed with Desserts, I’m also obsessed with the Food Network. On a recent episode of Guy Fieri’s Diner's Drive-ins and Dives, a restaurant by the name of Don Antonio by Starita was featured. Guy, along with Iron Chef and Chopped judge Geoffrey Zakarian visited Don Antonio to taste their delicious pizza. I saw how the pizza was made with fresh, authentic Italian ingredients, and it looked delicious; Guy and Chef Zakarian approved. We had their Montanara Starita pizza, which is Antonio Starita’s specialty. It was a “lightly fried pizza dough, topped with signature Starita tomato sauce, with imported smoke buffalo mozzarella and basil, finished in a wood-fired oven.” Mouth watering is how I would describe it. We also had the Ricotta Pizza, which was amazing, creamy, and so so good. Overall the pizza was incredible. I want to go back like right now. It’s located at 309 W 50th Street in Midtown Manhattan. If you are in town, give it a try you won’t regret it.
Below are a few iPhone Pictures and Instagram Pictures to show a little glimpse of my weekend.
